This 4 pieces Havdallah set is made of aluminum and it is anodized which makes it strong and corrosion resistant. The pieces are modernly designed with clean lines and a sense of flow in their shape. The set consists of a tray to hold everything together, a wine goblet, a candle holder and a clove-filled spice container. The Hebrew word Havdallah means separation. That is, the separation between the Shabbat and the new week. Shabbat ends on Saturday evening after the appearance of three stars in the sky. The Jewish days start from the setting of the sun, and therefore the end of Shabbat marks the beginning of Sunday. The fire, wine, and scented clove are considered things that make a man happy, and are meant to pacify the sorrow that accompanies the end of the Shabbat.
This is a great wedding present!
